YTD:
5-1 ATS for all lined games, Big plays last week on USC, Cal, and Arizona (3-0).
Let's see...USC goes into the top-rated SEC teams home field and pitches a shut-out, yet one poll has them ranked outside the top 5...wow.
On to this weeks plays. I've already started another thread about this week's big bet, so will limit the analysis.
An untested OSU Beaver squad travels into the armpit of California to play a well-tested Fresno State team. Fresno State has only been a dog three times at home in the past four years, and have won all three. Bulldog Stadium is a nasty place for opposing teams to play. Sportsline ranked it the 23rd best college football facility, which is pretty good considering they play in the WAC.
Oregon State, always a solid play at home, is not so on the road, posting a 4-7 record ATS the past two years. This is due in part to playing on grass surface (Fresno State, USC, WSU, ASU), which takes away from their team speed. OSU only has one starter returning to their secondary, and certainly will be tested by FSU's two great receivers.
I'm take the points. I got 9.5 last night at Pinnacle, boy if this goes to 10...
Final Score: OSU 31 - Fresno State 24
As for the rest of the Pac 10, have already played Notre Dame over Washington State, and Cal over Colorado State, as Tedford continues to impress me as a coach. Will also play USC, which has covered 8 straight and I have won enough off USC to buy a new compact car in that time.
The Predictions:
WSU +5.5 at Notre Dame: ND 19 - WSU 10
Cal -2.5 Vs. Colorado St: Cal 37 - CSU 30
USC -21.5 Vs BYU: USC 34 - BYU 10
UCLA +2.5 At Colorado: UCLA 31 - UC 24
Washington -24.5 Vs. Indiana: UW 54 - UI 19
Arizona +12 Vs. LSU: LSU 31 - Arizona 17
Arizona St NL Vs. N. Az: ASU 58 - NAZ 14
Oregon -22 Vs. Nevada: Oregon 44 - Nevada 24
Stanford -14 Vs. Stanford: Stanford 41 - SJSU 28
Outside the Pac-10, love Auburn and Oklahoma State in bounce-back spots vs bad teams.
Good luck to all.
